 Several explosions were heard Sunday morning in several cities in Iran's Ma'ribi region.

 Reuters news agency quoted local news agencies and social media posts as saying that loud explosions were heard in several cities of western Iran on Sunday morning.

 Following similar incidents in recent months, officials said the Iranian military was conducting unannounced defense exercises following recent tensions with the United States and Israel.

 The governor of Asadabad Town said that a terrible explosion was heard but it is said that it is not known yet.

 According to the governor, "at first I thought it was thunder, but later I found out that it was not."

 According to the Rokna News website, the sound of explosions in some cities and areas was so loud that the doors and windows of houses were shaken and people came out of their houses.
